Beth Morris was born in Oakland, California. She received her BFA from California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC) in Jewelry and Metal Arts. Continuing themes in her work explore various environments, social commentary and questions of functionality, often with an underlying dark humor. Using metal as a starting point, she enjoys working in a wide range of materials. Beginning in the fall of 2009, she will be working towards her MFA at Konstfack University College of Art, Craft and Design in Stockholm, Sweden.
